As teachers we should endeavour to make history known to our students, help them see the importance of sovereignty and independence, and most importantly the value of peace.
It is in this context that I propose an activity with three main objectives: recalling our recent and not so recent history, getting to know the islands and learning how to write articles on descriptions of places.
Read the rubric and follow steps 1 to 3 before writing the article:
You are asked to write a description of Islas Malvinas for an online magazine that your school is going to publish. Write your article including historical facts as well as descriptions of the place, its people and their culture.
1) Let´s recall what we have already learned:
3) Draw up your plan
5) Think of a good title for your article
Check this blog before deciding on a title: https://robpowellbizblog.com/catchy-titles-for-articles/
6) Upload your article to this shared folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AL4jpw66BGIW8HA5ae02iygDrfEwapoX?usp=sharing
